How it works
Each answer is an independent 50/50 draw, exactly like flipping a fair coin. With Yes / No / Maybe, each answer has a one-in-three chance. The previous answer never affects the next one, so asking again really is a fresh flip.
Making better decisions with a coin flip
A random answer is most useful when both options are genuinely fine: which movie to watch, where to eat, which task to start first. It saves time you'd otherwise spend going back and forth.
There's also a well-known trick: flip, and notice how you feel about the answer. If you're relieved, go with it. If you're disappointed, you've just learned what you actually wanted.
Frequently asked questions
Is the answer really 50/50?
Yes. Yes and No have exactly the same probability on every press, and previous answers don't influence the next one.
Should I use this for important decisions?
Use it to break ties between options you're happy with, not for decisions about health, money or safety. For those, a random answer is a nudge at best.
Is my question stored anywhere?
No. The question only appears on your screen and is never sent to a server.
